The first member of our Ohana had his retirement ceremony yesterday. He won't officially retire for another month or so but they did the ceremony for it. (One of our Ohana was medically retired a couple years ago but didn't get a ceremony)
Up on the stage being announced and describing where he worked and how many years of service he had completed.
Getting his medal, certificate and flag. His wife received an award for her service as well.
Official picture!
Two of the ladies made lei's to give to him and his wife. They were beautiful!
Recieving line to congratulate everyone! We definitely got some looks when there were 6 of us lined up in line with lei's in our hand! Maybe a little jealousy? :P
One friend was a little excited to give him a pink lei!
All decked out in their leis.
All the guys. One of the guys works with all of them.
With all the wives of our Ohana. These ladies are my tribe for sure. We all pull together and help when needed. Almost like a sister wife without the sharing of husbands!
My ohana. 8 adults, 12 kids...we are outnumbered! But I love my life with them in it, and couldn't imagine it without them in it.
