This is my bread box before....I cleaned it up, sanded it, and primed it.
This is what it looked like after i painted it. I choose to paint the door black because the paper I am putting on the slats is black.
Mark the paper where the slats are - be sure to number the backs of the slips so they go back on in order.
Use modge podge to adhere the paper to the slats.
I found it was easier if I had the door up where there was more space between the slats I kept moving the door down a little for each new slat.
When you finish with all the slats, put the protective coating of modge podge over the paper.
Here it is holding my bread. The bottom handle of the door isn't complete, it was getting too late in the night to finish that. But it will just be repainted black to get rid of the little bit of red that was sprayed on it!
Isn't it cute how it matches the other things in my kitchen!
