Washington Day 4 - Silverwood Theme Park
We lived in Washington for 4 years and NEVER knew this place existed!! It was a fun wild west themed theme park! It has a water park in it now - we brought our swim suits but realized it was windy and NOT sunny that day and we would have froze being wet after!
We brought water, applesauce pouches, and lunchables to snack on (as it doesn't open until 11). We left there around 3. They check your bags when you go in but they didn't even bat an eye with my food. You could do this on a budget if you bought the discount tickets at the local grocery store, and brought your own food. We spent about $190 on our 4 tickets with military discount. We spent our money on a few souvenir's and a funnel cake that was big enough for us to share.
This was right before you go into the park!
This was a really cool real flower picture frame!
There was a two mile train ride!
In the middle of the park they have buffalo's!!!
They had some pretty funny statues like this around the park and it played a little "story" as you were going through.
The main character that was on the train got off and they had a little "play" here with some bandits. The bandits got on and "robbed us", the money they collect goes straight to a childrens charity.
Made it by 2 inches!! Phew
They both played a different game and got a prize!
On the Ferris wheel!!!
This theater played a 3 stooges movie. This probably would have been a great place if you toddler needed some place quiet to nap, or YOU just needed some place to relax.
Cale had been toting around this baggie of fifteen dollars worth of quarters (in his backpack through the airport and everything!) he insisted on bringing it this day to purchase a souvenir. I ended up buying his souvenirs' so we were able to use all $15 at the arcade. They won a combined 499 tickets!
Silverwood is actually in Idaho - but Spokane and Cor de' Alene are border neighbors so it was like a 30 minute drive from Spokane.
This was a really awesome day. My kids don't do a lot of theme parks but this one had enough stuff for everyone.
