About Me

I'm an army wife, working mom of 2 kids.! My husband Tim is a Soldier In the army. I work for MWR for the Community Recreation Division as an admin assistant...I absolutely LOVE my job I couldn't have found anything better! My daughter, Kennedie, was born in January of 04 and our son, Cale, was born June of 09. Kennedie is VERY involved in dancing, she is in her 11th season (2019-2020) of being a competitive dancer. It's exhausting but we LOVE it. Cale is starting to REALLY get into sports. He is on a year round wrestling team, and he plays baseball in the spring! This blog started out as a recipe sharing venture but now it's going to turn into a more "granola" way to live. Cheap recipes more homemade recipes and re-purposing things. I'm a crafter at heart so I'm going to throw some of that in there too! On Valentines Day of 2017 we bought our first Travel Trailer. I'll be documenting our travels also on this blog!

Defuniak Springs Florida - August 2021

Wow two years ago I started this post but then I never was able to get back in and finish it!  So we will try and do this by memory!

Still wearing masks I see.  I thought it was funny he LOVED wearing the rainbow smile mask I made!
This was a great camp ground and we can't wait to go there again!

Right as we backed the trailed into it's spot (I was outside the camper and Tim hadn't made it out of the truck yet - that's how quick this blew it!) a storm blew in.  We already had the awning going out and had to retract it carefully because it was definitely getting pulled on!

It started raining again after I went into a walmart to grab a few things.  This is the line of people waiting on the rain to stop to leave.

I waited a bit and decided to book it to the truck.  I was SOAKED!
Finally stopped raining and we hit the pool!
We were right on the lake!  It was such a beautiful spot!  Last time we were at this campground we had an inside slot and were surrounded by other campers.

I love this picture of Tim enjoying the sunset.
Like ya'll HOW BEAUTIFUL is this!
Making air fryer deep fried oreos and chocolate chip cookies!

Snuggled in for a movie!
Waiting to enter Ponce De Leon Springs.

Ate dinner at a great BBQ spot.

Made our way to Vortex Springs the next day!

I can't wait to go back to Defuniak Springs this year.  It's a quick 3 hours drive so we can make the most of our time there!
