About Me

I'm an army wife, working mom of 2 kids.! My husband Tim is a Soldier In the army. I work for MWR for the Community Recreation Division as an admin assistant...I absolutely LOVE my job I couldn't have found anything better! My daughter, Kennedie, was born in January of 04 and our son, Cale, was born June of 09. Kennedie is VERY involved in dancing, she is in her 11th season (2019-2020) of being a competitive dancer. It's exhausting but we LOVE it. Cale is starting to REALLY get into sports. He is on a year round wrestling team, and he plays baseball in the spring! This blog started out as a recipe sharing venture but now it's going to turn into a more "granola" way to live. Cheap recipes more homemade recipes and re-purposing things. I'm a crafter at heart so I'm going to throw some of that in there too! On Valentines Day of 2017 we bought our first Travel Trailer. I'll be documenting our travels also on this blog!

Closet revisit

Remember my closet?  In January I turned all my hangers backwards so I could tell what clothes I was and wasn't wearing.  Here it is March and I've only used half of the clothes in my closet!  I started pulling stuff I KNEW I wasn't going to wear again or that I know I haven't worn in sometime.  Alot of the stuff that is still backwards is actually summer shirts.  Which I'm sure I'll start wearing next month here in Texas.  Some of the clothes were hard to pull because, originally during my last toss obviously thought I would wear them again.  I know for sure there is a shirt in this picture that the last time I wore it was when I was 12 weeks pregnant - that was FOUR YEARS AGO!  It finally got tossed.
I managed to get rid of 14 things - mostly winter stuff, and a few shirts that I'm honestly too old to wear and ONLY kept them because it had a turtle on it (I collect turtles).  I'm now able to have only HALF the closet and my husband uses less than half of his side. I'm hoping in the future that we will be able to toss some of his things so we can have a bigger section for shoe storage.
